1.No drinking and driving. No drugs. ZERO Tolerance.
2. Seat belts and helmets required in all cars. Chin straps must be in place.
3. No passengers.
4. Drivers must stay with their cars while in the staging lanes.
5. 10 MPH speed limit on the return road and in all pit areas. Any driver and or person with a car caught breaking this rule is subject to be disqualified or barred from the track.
6. Unsportsman like conduct, cursing, profane language or threatening a track official or another racer will result in disqualification or banning. ( Track Discretion)
7. NO REFUNDS-- Rain checks will be given for rain delayed races.
8. No glass bottles allowed at the track.
9. No photocells or wheel sensors allowed.
10. Crew members only past the burn out area.
11. At least one working taillight required on all vehicles.
12. No excessive braking on the track. This is grounds for disqualification.
13. Computer printout determines race results.
14. All cars must pass a safety inspection by a qualified track official.
15. All cars running 6.99 or quicker must have at least a 6-point roll cage that is welded to the vehicle.
16. All safety equipment must be up to date with current dates and/or SFI numbers.
17. No sputter boxes allowed after leaving the starting line.
18. All “No Time” cars must have “NT” on the windshield and passenger window.
19.All open body drivers must have SFI approved gloves, jacket, pants, and arm restraints.
20. All motorcycle\ATV riders must have leather or heavy gloves, pants, and jackets. They must also have shoes that cover their ankles.
21. No driver may roll through the lights at any time. This is grounds for disqualification. If both drivers roll through the lights, the driver who rolls through first will be disqualified.
22. Any car that refuses an inspection by a track official at any time will be disqualified or barred from the track until an inspection is complete or until the race director permits his/her return.
23. Odd staging lanes run left, even staging lanes run right.
24. Staging director to determine pairs.
25. All “Heads Up” racing is done on a .400 Pro Tree. When a driver pre-stages, the other driver must be ready to pre-stage.
26. All pre-race activities must be done prior to pre-staging.( Purging nitrous, cleaning carburetor, ect...)
27. No one will be allowed to enter a race once the first round has begun or pairs have been determined.
28.If a car has the by-run or is making a single pass, and breaks or cannot make the pass, the driver will not be allowed to make the pass later. He/she will be out of the race.
29. Car must be under its own power when leaving the staging area and when tripping the beams on the starting line.
30. Any problem requiring a “re-run” will be at track discretion. Refusing an official re-run will be grounds for disqualification.
31. No racer may stage until both cars are pre-staged. If a racer stages before his/her opponent is pre-staged, the racer will be disqualified.
32. Break passes will be given only before the beginning of eliminations.
33. The same driver may drive in two different classes, no two drivers per car during a race.
34. 20\10 rule enforced. (Index/ET)
35. Only open bodied cars may burn out across the starting line under own power. (Index/ET)
36. One minute “break rule” in effect. If a car fails to fire or is broke, they have one minute to make it to the water box, or they will be disqualified. (Drivers Discretion)
37. If a car wins and breaks, that driver may put the opponent of the last round back in. Drivers Discretion. (Index/ET)
38. Racers may not pull out of line, in the staging lanes, to run someone else. Anyone caught doing this will be disqualified. (Index/ET)
39. By-runs will be determined via best reaction time in the previous round. Any discrepancy in lane choice will be determined by flipping a coin, the winner gets lane choice. The last three cars flip unless one of the three has not had a by-run or the by-run carries over. The by-run must make their pass, no sitting out. By-run has lane choice.
40. Any driver wanting to protest another drivers’ car must see the race director only. Protest fee is $50.00 and you must put in writing the items that you are protesting. If the person who is protested is found illegal, the person protesting receives 50% of the protest money back. If the protested car is found legal, the driver of that car receives 50% of the protest money. The track keeps 50% of all protest moneys.
41. Race Director may waive, amend or modify any rule at any time for any single occurrence for any good cause. The Race Director’s decision is final in all cases.
42. Photos/Video: By participating in events at Midway Dragstrip, you release your rights to be photographed and video taped. Those media’s may be used to promote Midway Dragstrip future events.
43. No burnouts in the pits.
